Position Summary/Objective:

The Website Designer is responsible for designing the overall layout and aesthetic for websites. Their duties include coding webpages or entire websites, proof and refine their designs, as well as running tests to preview layouts and website features. Must have excellent communication skills.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Build beautiful and robust websites for a large membership of appliance, bedding, furniture, and electronics clients
• Design website graphics and assets
• Design and/or re-create client-provided logos and assets
• Occasionally complete special projects
• Work with Directors and Team Leads on creative direction and refinement
• Work with Website Project Specialists to understand and implement client feedback
• Utilize performance data and client feedback to concept, design, and build new website themes as requested

Remote Work/Travel: This position will work remotely from a home address and subject to AVB's Remote Work policies and procedures which are then in effect. In addition, from time to time, this position will be required to engage in travel, including travel to attend AVB's Annual All-Employee Meeting as well as other travel obligations which may be required of the position such as meetings with members, attendance at conventions and shows and other events where you will represent AVB. Required Skills and Abilities:

• A strong eye for design
• A cool head under pressure
• Must be detail-oriented
• The ability to manage multiple deadlines on various projects at a time
• Great follow-up on projects and deliverables
• The ability to take and apply creative direction and constructive criticism from Directors, Leads, and Team Members

Education and Experience:

• BA in graphic/web design
• Must have Advanced knowledge of CSS and HTML
• Knowledge of Java Script not required, but a plus
• Thorough knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and XD
• Have a strong design portfolio demonstrating websites, landing pages, and other examples of great UI
• Must know principles of Responsive Web Design
• Knowledge of AI design tools and/or Wordpress is a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged period of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
