Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tax Compliance Assistance: Assist in the preparation of tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, or other entities, following tax regulations and guidelines.
  • Data Gathering: Collect and organize financial data, including income statements, expense reports, and receipts, to support accurate tax calculations.
  • Research: Conduct tax research to stay informed about current tax laws, regulations, and changes, helping to address basic tax questions and issues.
  • Data Entry: Enter financial data into tax preparation software or spreadsheets to facilitate the tax filing process.
  • Client Support: Collaborate with senior tax associates and managers to provide support to clients, addressing inquiries and assisting with tax-related documentation.
  • Documentation: Maintain organized tax records and files, ensuring easy retrieval of information for audits and reference.
  • Tax Software: Gain proficiency in tax software tools and other software applications relevant to tax preparation and compliance.
  • Professional Development: Actively participate in training programs and seek opportunities for continuous learning and skill development.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is typically required.
  • Experience: While prior experience is not mandatory, internship experience or coursework related to taxation is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to work with financial data and perform basic tax calculations.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in tax data entry and documentation.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with team members and assist clients.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support more experienced tax professionals.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new tax regulations and software.
Salary

$60,000 - $75,000 per year
