A Typical Day...
As a Tax Specialist, you will be part of a dedicated team that supports your growth through expert training in tax preparation. Enjoy the freedom and flexibility that come with this role, along with opportunities to earn extra income.
- Conduct tax interviews with clients face-to-face and through virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email).
- Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
- Drive business growth and increase client retention while offering additional products and services.
- Provide clients with IRS support.
- Collaborate with teammates to support office priorities.
- Enhance your tax expertise continuously.
It would be even better if you also had...
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
- Previous customer service or retail experience.
- Experience in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
- Availability to work 25-35 hours per week throughout tax season and up to 40 hours during peak weeks.
What you'll bring to the team...
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course.
- Experience working in dynamic environments.
- Comfort with virtual tools (video, phone, chat).
- Effective communication skills in person, on the phone, and in writing.
- Compliance with all IRS and applicable state requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent; higher education preferred.
