Description

The Legislative Research Commission is accepting applications for the position of Administrative Regulations Compiler for the Administrative Regulation Review Subcommittee. This position is nonpartisan in nature and requires the ability to work with neutrality in a politically charged environment.

This is a permanent, full-time position with benefits including health and life insurance; retirement plan; and paid holidays, vacation, and sick days. Compensatory time is awarded on an hour-for-hour basis with prior approval.

Job Duties:

  • Receive official filings of proposed administrative regulations and other documents from government agencies.
  • Proof and format filed regulations for publication.
  • Provide administrative and support services to the subcommittee.
  • Maintain a file of regulations and other material, as required by statute.
  • Compile, format, and index the monthly Administrative Register and proof for accuracy.
  • Instruct the assistant regulations compiler and other compiler staff on functions of the compiler office.
  • Coordinate with Computing and Information Technology staff to design and maintain regulation computer applications.
  • Manage research requests regarding current and historical regulations and certify copies of filed regulations and other documents, upon request.
  • Coordinate the archiving of historical regulations.
  • Assist in the development of regulation training presentations, as needed.
  • Attend training as needed or directed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills and multitasking capability.
  • Ability to function in a team role under pressure and within short time frames.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Windows Office products, including Excel.

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION: Bachelor's or associate's degree

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Minimum of 7+ years of experience with the administrative regulations process.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: At the discretion of the Deputy Director for Committee and Staff Coordination, relevant experience may be substituted for education
