Summary

The Director of Business Development will drive account growth while leading go-to-market strategies for the food service innovation pipeline. This highly visible, strategic role builds sales capability, manages key accounts, and ensures successful commercialization of new products.

Responsibilities

  • The Director of Business Development will lead commercialization and go-to-market strategies for new food service products, including pricing, segmentation, sales tools, training, and pilot programs.
  • Manage and grow existing national accounts; identify and secure new business opportunities in the eastern region.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align product strategy, customer insights, and market trends.
  • The Director of Business Development will co-manage Foodservice sales performance and pipeline tracking with regional sales leaders.
  • Build sales capability through training, tools, and performance management.
  • Represent customer perspective and market insights in innovation planning.
  • The Director of Business Development will ensure compliance with all food safety policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • The Director of Business Development must hold a bachelor's degree.
  • MBA preferred (Business/Marketing focus).
  • Must have held the Director designation previously for at least 2 years
  • Must have 10+ years of national sales and marketing experience in
    consumer products or foodservice.
  • Proven success in sales strategy, P&L management, and revenue growth.
  • The Director of Business Development must have strong leadership, collaboration, and account management skills.
  • Expertise in multi-channel sales, resource allocation, and broker/customer relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with data and statistical tools preferred.
  • Must travel local and overnight.
