Forth Surfaces an innovative flooring company focused on moving the industry

forward in a positive direction concerning recycling, reclamation, and viable end-of-life solutions for synthetic flooring products. We produce landfill biodegradable flooring products with no sacrifice in performance, quality, or design. What we need:

  • An experienced outside sales person to promote our brand and develop relationships with hospitality/commercial architecture & design firms, purchasing agents, and end-users in Northern California and the Pacific Northwest (Seattle/Portland).
    This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth and developing strategies across hospitality and commercial markets. The ideal candidate will combine sales leadership with strong client engagement skills.

What you'll do:

  • Expand our presence in the hospitality, contract, senior living, and multifamily markets through sales calls, meetings, presentations, trade shows, etc
  • Coordinate the introduction and sales of existing and new
    carpet, rug, and
    hard surface (LVT) products.
  • Prospect for new accounts and sales opportunities.
  • Present products and services.
  • Follow up on project and account leads.
  • Attend industry networking events.
  • Substantial travel is required for this position; you must be willing to travel regularly within the region.
  • Generate new project leads and see them to completion, answering client questions and offering creative solutions to any issues that arise.
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory to meet with regular and prospective customers to develop relationships for project lead generation and sales growth.
  • Present and demonstrate products using samples and digital presentations or catalogs, and emphasize features, benefits, trends, design, function, sustainability, and performance features while focusing on clients' design, end-use, and needs.
  • Coordinate with partner sales and project management teams to share leads and co-present to accounts.
  • Regularly entertain and network with clients and potential clients.
  • Track weekly activities and project updates in the CRM.

What you have:

  • Must be highly motivated and a self starter
  • Bachelor's degree. Knowledge of finished building/flooring products and multi-brand development preferred.
  • 3+ years of previous sales experience and product/project management responsibility. Ideally in the hospitality/commercial design environment or a combination of relevant design/sales experience.
  • Ability to build new and existing relationships
  • Solid understanding of the design process
  • Experience (or a sound understanding) of manufacturing and sales. Proven performance to lead and manage the sales process.
  • Must be socially savvy and comfortable entertaining clients, regularly networking outside of "normal business hours."
  • High level of interest and exposure in the fields of design, architecture, textiles, etc is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and creativity are required.
  • Must have a high level of ownership and accountability with strong organizational skills and the ability to remain focused.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Member of trade organizations (NEWH, etc.).
  • Must have a reliable vehicle to travel to meetings.

Compensation:

Salary will be commensurate with experience. Additional commissions and bonuses are performance based. Forth Surfaces offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan with matching employer contributions.
