Job Title:
Cash Applications Analyst

Job Overview:

The Cash Applications Analyst is responsible for managing and processing various types of payments, including credit cards, checks, ACH/wire transfers, and lockbox transactions. This role involves authorizing, settling, and charging credit card transactions, handling daily check authorizations, and manually applying payments to the database. The specialist will also download bank statements, create barcodes for payment processing, and maintain accurate cash logs. Additionally, the role includes conducting month-end reconciliations, researching payment disputes, and addressing chargebacks. The specialist will serve as a backup for other credit department team members as needed. This role will report to the Credit & Collections Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Process Visa, MasterCard, and Amex credit card authorizations for pre-paying customers, covering the cost of goods and estimated freight costs.
• Sort and manually apply daily Visa, MasterCard, and Amex payments to the database
• Maintain the cash log on the department-wide shared drive.
• Handle daily check authorizations and manually apply payments to the database.
• Download daily bank statements for ACH/Wire payments.
• Extract ACH payment remittances from bank downloads and email inbox.
• Manually enter all payments into the database.
• Retrieve daily lockbox information from the bank.
• Investigate payment disputes between bank totals and manually entered payments.
• Address chargebacks for Visa, MasterCard, Amex, or Check By Phone payments.
• Serve as a backup for other credit department team members as needed.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 years of Accounts Receivable or credit analyst experience.
• Experience with payment processing (virtual card payments a plus).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in high-volume environment
• Proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, and Word.

Salary Range:

The anticipated salary range for candidates is $52,000-$60,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Fisher & Paykel Healthcare is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
