$70-75/hr W2 (Cannot subcontract or C2C)

Job Description:

Matlen Silver has partnered with our leading financial services client to recruit a Cloud Solution Engineer to automate the build and configuration of new infrastructure in AWS and using Terraform. Ideally looking for someone with 5+ years of experience, coming from enterprise clients, and has worked with multiple data centers and test environments. You will work together with a project team to deliver all the Infrastructure as Code solutions and its supporting elements in a timely and efficient manner to ensure the best project outcomes. You will work closely with Architects and customers to identify the low-level details needed to facilitate the implementation, and work together with Subject Matter Experts across the many infrastructure teams (Middleware, DBAs, SAs, Network, Load Balancing, Storage, Access Management, etc.) to ensure the successful builds.

This role will work onsite in a hybrid work environment which includes 3 days on-site in Pennington NJ, Charlotte NC, or Kennesaw GA

Responsibilities:

  • Role has matrix execution responsibility across all technology organizations and the line of business as well as LOB
  • Manages multiple projects or a single complex project
  • Partners with Program and Project Managers and SMEs to create business requirements for technology solutions. Assists with technology estimates, manages low to moderate complexity technology solutions for projects to a full-scale deployment in a live environment
  • Use the right questions and tools to uncover root causes to business challenges, identify opportunities, and make recommendations
  • Look to simplify and standardize application stack and remove developer customization

Must Haves:

  • Hands-on Infrastructure Configuration and Provisioning using Terraform HashiCorp Configuration Language (HCL) using IaC principles
  • Cloud experience with AWS
  • Working knowledge on Computer Networking (Load Balancing, Firewall) and Storage (Traditional, NAS)
