Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator for our PET film extrusion line. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with various machinery and manufacturing processes.

Duties

  • Operate and monitor the PET film extrusion line to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
  • Perform quality inspections throughout the production process to identify any defects or inconsistencies.
  • Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to control machinery operations and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Handle materials efficiently, including loading and unloading using forklifts.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on machinery, including CNC lathes, press brake machines, and other fabrication tools.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure product specifications are met.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in manufacturing environments, particularly in plastics extrusion, blow molding, or injection molding.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and machining equipment.
  • Familiarity with quality inspection processes and materials handling techniques.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments.
  • Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing practices is an asset.
