Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team on 2nd shift. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines and conventional machining tools to produce high-quality components that meet engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on machining experience, strong blueprint reading skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining safety and production standards.

Core Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines as well as shear cutters, hydraulic presses, lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and stamping presses.
  • Perform setups, adjustments, and routine maintenance to ensure efficient production.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, job travelers, and manuals.
  • Use precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers) to verify product quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to maintain peak performance.
  • Conduct tests, analyses, and calibrations per company policies and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and quality standards.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain punctual, consistent attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications

Education: High School Diploma/GED required; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred.

Experience: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience (setup & operation).

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in operating CNC and conventional machining tools.
  • Skilled in blueprint reading and interpretation.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
  • Competent in using precision measuring tools and performing quality checks.
  • Basic math skills to support machining and measurement tasks.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work variable schedules, including nights and weekends.

Pay Rate: $27.50/hr ($25 + 10% shift differential)
