Quality Control and Improvement Coordinator

Position Summary

The Quality Control and Improvement Coordinator ensures that all graphics and signage products meet established quality standards and client specifications. This role involves monitoring production processes, inspecting finished goods, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The position requires adaptability and strong organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance & Inspection
  • Conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process work, and finished products to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
  • Document and report quality issues, defects, and non-conformances promptly.
  • Process Monitoring & Compliance
  • Maintain and enforce quality control procedures throughout the production cycle.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Improvement Planning & Implementation
  • Analyze quality data and identify trends or recurring issues.
  • Collaborate with production and design teams to develop corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing errors, waste, and rework.
  • Communication & Training
  • Provide feedback and guidance to production staff on quality standards and best practices.
  • Assist in training team members on updated quality procedures and improvement initiatives.
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Prepare regular quality performance reports for management review.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment (preferably graphics/signage/branding).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents, manufacturing specifications, and technical details.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the graphics, signage, and branding industry.
  • Knowledge of color management, substrates, and printing processes.
  • Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma principles.
