Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper and Office Administrator to join our team. This role will own day to day financial tasks. You will be responsible for both accounts payable and receivable, along with all payroll and bank account management and reconciliation tasks. You will be responsible for recording financial data in QuickBooks and providing the owner with income statements and balance sheets monthly.
This role will also handle various office administration tasks such as communicating with vendors, processing customer jobs, and overseeing business assets.
This role will be part-time with a degree of flexibility to the schedule.
Duties
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts regularly to maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare and record journal entries using QuickBooks.
- Conduct general ledger accounting tasks including account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation to ensure data integrity.
- Maintain accurate records of payroll processing, tax filings, and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for management review.
- Support budgeting processes by tracking expenses against budgets and providing insights for financial planning.
- Perform account reconciliation activities to verify accuracy across accounts such as accounts receivable/payable and bank accounts.
- Maintain organized documentation of all financial transactions and office administrative records.
- Support office management tasks including inventory control, supply ordering, and general administrative duties to ensure efficient office operations.
- Assist with customer order processing involving order entry, mailing list processing, and other various customer related tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Demonstrated ability in balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, account analysis, and general ledger accounting.
- Familiarity with double-entry bookkeeping principles including debits & credits and journal entries.
- Experience with payroll processing and tax compliance is highly desirable.
- Excellent understanding of financial concepts related to accounts payable/receivable, account reconciliation, budgeting, and financial report writing.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and support office functions seamlessly.
Job Type: Part-time
Base Pay: $ $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
