Role:

  • Generalist thematic equity research analyst
  • Individual contributor for idea generation, research & analysis, writing, and publishing

Responsibilities:

  • Generate original ideas and uncover underappreciated thematic beneficiaries through rigorous analysis and primary research, spanning sectors and geographies
  • Create high-conviction theme-based model portfolios; monitor and suggest changes as themes evolve
  • Write clear, concise, narrative prose in logically structured research reports and thesis papers; arrive at actionable conclusions
  • Interact with and present to subscribers through chat, email, webinars, and meetings
  • Design clear and compelling data visualizations to inform your audience and support your conclusions; simplify complex topics
  • Work proactively under minimal supervision in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and dynamic environment

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Track record of high-quality thematic ideas/equity baskets; portfolio construction expertise
  • Exceptional command of the English language and prose; professional history of publishing research reports to clients
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and reliable - ability to see projects through to completion and deliver assignments within deadlines
  • Intellectually curious, conscientious; fast learner with a broad knowledge of tickers
  • Trustworthy team player, with intellectual honesty and high integrity
  • Proficiency with Bloomberg, Excel, AlphaSense, and other applicable equity research tools

Preferred:

  • 5+ years of relevant equity research experience
  • Sell-side background
  • CFA designation

Compensation Range & Benefits:

  • Total comp range of $250k–300k+ (base salary to be determined by experience, education, and skills; bonus to be determined by performance)
