Silver Mirror is a retail skincare brand and 10-location facial bar with locations across NYC, DC, and Miami. We blend personalized service with innovative skincare solutions, and we are looking for someone exceptional to help bring new products to market.
The Role
We are looking for a strategic, marketing-savvy Project Manager to help bring our skincare products to life. In this flexible, part-time role that is primarily remote, you will drive the coordination and execution of new product launches, from developing initial marketing materials and packaging to managing labs and vendors. The entirety of the project and all of its moving pieces are in your hands.
This role requires someone who is hyper-organized, resourceful, and unfazed by obstacles. When you hit a wall, you quickly find a way over it, around it, or through it.
While this role is primarily remote, occasional visits to our headquarters in Manhattan's Flatiron District are required for large product shipments and inventory responsibilities. This is typically a few times per month during active production periods and less often during quieter stretches.
Due to the intermittent nature of product development, the role averages around 20 hours per week, though activity levels vary. Highly organized and efficient professionals could complete responsibilities in considerably less time, making this ideal for individuals adept at managing variable workloads and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
This role has strong potential to expand into a larger leadership position in late winter 2026.
Primary Responsibilities
Marketing & Product Positioning
• Develop initial marketing copy for products in development (to be refined with copywriting team).
• Create comprehensive marketing briefs detailing product positioning, competitive landscape, and key messaging.
• Maintain a deep understanding of the skincare market, key trends, and competing products.
• Align packaging and marketing copy to strategically position products in the marketplace.
Packaging & Branding Management
• Own the end-to-end packaging process: copy, design notes, and coordination across all stakeholders.
• Collaborate with design teams on primary and secondary packaging that aligns with brand identity.
• Work with primary component manufacturers on sourcing, designing, and printing.
• Manage sourcing, design, and printing of secondary cartons.
• Maintain visibility on where every piece is at any given time.
Project Coordination & Documentation
• Serve as the central point of contact for internal teams and external vendors (design teams, component manufacturers, secondary carton teams, labs, and delivery partners).
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans with milestones, deadlines, and dependencies.
• Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Organize and maintain a central repository for all development documents, vendor specifications, and creative assets.
• Manage version control for product briefs, copy, and packaging dielines.
Product Development
• Organize the executive team's vision and priorities for product development.
• Receive and distribute product samples, consolidate testing feedback, and communicate feedback clearly to labs.
Logistics & Inventory Support
• Coordinate shipping of components and finished products, including tariffs, customs, and cost management, with support from our operations team.
• Assist with inventory management and provide third-party sales teams with necessary supplies.
• Manage inventory for digital accounts including Meta, TikTok, DTC, and Amazon.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
• Coordinate formulation reviews, packaging reviews, and QA processes before mass production.
• Partner with regulatory experts to ensure products and packaging meet U.S. FDA cosmetic guidelines, including accurate INCI listings and compliant claims.
Communication
• Lead weekly meetings with the executive team.
• Provide regular project updates summarizing developments, milestones, and risks.
Requirements
• Experience in beauty or skincare required.
• Comfortable drafting first-pass packaging and marketing copy and turning strategy into clear briefs.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple vendors, timelines, and iterative feedback loops.
• Strong understanding of the skincare market and competitive landscape.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Self-starter who takes initiative without waiting for direction.
• Availability of approximately 20 hours per week during East Coast business hours (minimum 4 hours per day).
• Based in, or willing to relocate to, the New York City area.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Willing to sign NDA and non-compete agreements.
• Cannot be combined with another full-time job or work for a direct competitor.
Compensation
Compensation: $5,000 per month
