Ascendo Resources is partnering with a respected boutique North Carolina law firm that is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney (5+ years) with a strong background in construction litigation. What You'll Do

  • Handle all aspects of construction litigation, from case strategy through trial and appeal.
  • Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and briefs in Superior and appellate courts.
  • Conduct and defend depositions of clients, witnesses, and experts.
  • Manage discovery, including written discovery and document production.
  • Meet with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel to evaluate claims, develop strategy, and pursue resolution.
  • Prepare for and participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and jury trials.
  • Perform detailed factual and legal analysis related to liability, valuation, and damages.
  • Present opening and closing arguments, and handle all aspects of trial advocacy.

What We're Looking For

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active North Carolina Bar license in good standing. South Carolian Bar license is a PLUS
  • 5+ years of litigation experience in construction litigation.
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills, with the ability to handle complex matters independently.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset, with a drive to build client relationships and grow a practice.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines with precision and professionalism.
