About Elessent Clean Technologies
Elessent Clean Technologies is a global leader in process technologies to drive sustainability and carbon neutrality in the metal, fertilizer, chemical, and oil refining industries with an unwavering commitment to customer support. We provide extensive global expertise across our portfolio of offerings in key applications – MECS sulfuric acid production, STATCO alkylation, BELCO wet scrubbing, and IsoTherming hydroprocessing. Offering critical process equipment, products, technology, and services, we enable an array of industrial markets, including phosphate fertilizer, non-ferrous metals, oil refining, petrochemicals, and chemicals, to minimize their environmental impact and optimize productivity. We are dedicated to helping our customers produce high-quality products used in everyday life in the safest, most environmentally-sound way possible, with a vision to make the world a better place by creating clean alternatives to traditional industrial processes.
Elessent Clean Technologies is seeking an entry-level AI Data Analyst to help teams work smarter and faster using AI tools and automation. You'll collaborate across departments to understand workflows, identify process bottlenecks, and build quick, effective solutions — like lightweight scripts or AI-powered tools — that reduce manual work and accelerate results. Projects are hands-on, varied, and typically short (2–8 weeks), giving you the chance to see your impact quickly. You'll also help train and guide employees on how to use AI effectively in their day-to-day work. We welcome early-career technologists from diverse paths — degree programs, bootcamps, certifications, or self-taught experience. What matters most is your ability to learn fast, communicate clearly, and use AI creatively to deliver real, scalable improvements.
This is an in-person position located at our designated Elessent office. Remote work and relocation assistance will not be offered or considered.
What You'll Do
- Map and diagnose workflows: Meet with internal teams to understand their processes, identify inefficiencies, and prioritize automation opportunities with clear success metrics.
- Leverage AI for rapid prototyping: Use generative AI tools to co-develop small automations, document-handling workflows, or data-processing routines; iterate quickly with user feedback.
- Train and empower others: Conduct hands-on sessions and build simple guides to help teams learn how to integrate AI into their daily work. Enable each department to discover and own new efficiency opportunities.
- Streamline data handling: Use AI-assisted methods to extract, organize, and validate information from documents, spreadsheets, or emails, transforming unstructured inputs into usable data.
- Integrate with Office tools: Build automations and reports that operate within Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, or SharePoint environments.
- Communicate clearly: Present solutions to non-technical stakeholders in clear, plain language — showing the before/after impact of each automation.
- Own small projects end-to-end: Take an idea from concept to working solution in weeks, document it, and support it after rollout with updates and training as needed.
What Success Looks Like (first 90 days)
- Ship 1-2 scoped automations that eliminate manual steps or reduce cycle time.
- Stand up a basic document-extraction pipeline that feeds our central knowledge base.
- Establish a lightweight, repeatable update cadence (brief writeups + screenshots) with stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications (What you must bring)
- Experience level: 0–2 years of relevant professional experience, including internships, academic projects, or self-directed work applying AI, automation, or data analysis tools
- AI proficiency: Proven experience using ChatGPT (or similar tools) to research, prototype, and implement process improvements or light automations.
- Analytical mindset: Strong ability to break down workflows, identify bottlenecks, and design measurable efficiency improvements.
- Communication skills: Confident in presenting and explaining AI-assisted solutions to business users; capable of teaching and supporting non-technical audiences.
- Basic programming familiarity: Some exposure to scripting (Python or another language) — or the ability to use AI tools to generate and adapt small code snippets.
- Microsoft Office proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Comfortable linking AI outputs into standard business tools.
- Ownership and initiative: You move quickly from idea to execution, document your process, and stay focused on practical business outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications (Great to have - not required)
- Experience leading workshops or training sessions related to digital tools, automation, or process improvement.
- Familiarity with using AI for structured data extraction, summarization, or reporting.
- Experience building lightweight dashboards or visual reports.
- Interest in emerging AI applications for engineering, data, or business process optimization.
