Billing Analyst: (Onsite in the greater St. Louis area)

Optomi, in partnership with a leading telecommunications provider, is seeking a Billing Analyst to support and enhance the company's enterprise billing systems. This role sits within the Billing Operations team and focuses on analyzing, testing, and optimizing the CSG billing platform to drive accuracy, performance, and process improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Support and enhance the enterprise CSG billing system, ensuring accurate billing and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to define business rules, workflows, and functional requirements.
  • Participate in UAT testing, validating system logic and ensuring billing data integrity.
  • Analyze data and processes to identify areas for improvement in system performance and billing accuracy.
  • Develop reports, documentation, and recommendations for system enhancements.
  • Present findings and updates to senior management and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Assist in training and documentation for end users when new features or changes are implemented.

Must-Have Skills

  • 2–4 years of experience in a Billing Analyst, Business Analyst, or Systems Analyst role.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise billing systems such as CSG, Amdocs, Aria, or Zuora.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills; advanced Excel proficiency required.
  • Familiarity with UAT testing, system configuration, and functional design principles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to interface with executives and technical teams.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Preferred Skills

  • Basic knowledge of SQL or database query tools.
  • Telecom or cable industry experience.
  • Exposure to coding, macros, or scripting (Python, VBA, etc.).

Location / Schedule

  • Onsite 5 days per week initially, transitioning to 4 days onsite (1 remote day).
  • Local candidates only.
