Job Summary
Join our Mobile Auto Repair company as a General Automotive Mechanic, where your expertise will drive vehicle performance and customer satisfaction. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, ensuring safety, reliability, and optimal operation. Your mechanical skills and attention to detail will contribute to a seamless automotive experience for our valued customers. We are committed to prompt response, service, and excellent communication with the customer.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines, powertrains, suspensions, steering components, brakes, shocks & struts.
- Conduct pre-purchase vehicle inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety standards.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs such as brake replacements, belt and power steering pump replacements, water pump replacements, and general battery related repairs.
- Work with vehicle maintenance schedules to perform routine inspections and coolant and heating problems such as belts, hoses, and radiator service and replacements
- Read and interpret automotive schematics and technical manuals to execute repairs precisely.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations while providing exceptional customer service throughout the repair process.
Experience
- Mechanic experience in an automotive dealership or independent shop environment is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across a broad range of vehicle systems including engine repair, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and powertrain components.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics and OBDM scanner use
- Familiarity with ADAS calibration procedures and auto estimating software is a plus.
- Ability to operate automotive hand tools, power tools, jacks,and other automotive maintenance tools confidently.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication with the service writer, customer, and professionalism throughout.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: From $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
