Role Description

The
Marketing Manager
 will focus on internal and external communication efforts for the company. This position will act as a crucial link between our firm and its public, responsible for maintaining a
positive brand image and developing strategies for growth through effective communication and community engagement. This role is vital for building trust and long-lasting relationships with clients, government and the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development:
     Planning and executing comprehensive marketing and public relations strategies that align with the organization's goals.
  • Public Representation:
     Serving as a primary spokesperson for the company at events, community forums, and media interactions.
  • Outreach Programs:
     Organizing and coordinating community outreach initiatives, special events, charitable contributions, and volunteer programs.
  • Content Creation and Social Media:
     Creating and managing content for various channels, including social media, press releases, newsletters, and websites, to ensure a consistent brand voice.
  • Relationship Building:
    Cultivating
    and maintaining strong, collaborative and authentic relationships with businesses, government agencies, key policymakers, legislative staff, community leaders, and third-party groups.
  • Media and PR Management:
     Managing media relations, preparing information for press inquiries, and handling crisis communications to protect the company's reputation.
  • Analytics and Reporting:
     Tracking the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and community initiatives using metrics and analytics, reporting results to senior management.
  • Event Coordination

: Planning and organizing promotional events, to boost brand loyalty and reach new clients. Organizing and facilitating meetings, public hearings, and community events to discuss issues, gather support, and enhance the organization's public image.
- Advocacy & Representation

: Developing and executing advocacy strategies, engaging with government officials, agencies, and industry associations to promote the organization's position on key issues.
- Communication & Reporting

: Drafting policy briefs, position papers, press releases, newsletters, and presentations for both internal and external audiences to ensure clear and consistent messaging.
- Compliance Assurance

: Working with internal teams (like legal and compliance) to ensure all government affairs activities adhere to relevant laws and ethical reporting requirements.
- Market Research & Lead Generation
: Conduct research to identify new business opportunities, potential clients, and market trends, presenting findings to the business development team.
- CRM Management
: Maintain and update the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (e.g., Salesforce), ensuring all prospect interactions, contact information, and pipeline data are accurate and current.
- Proposal & Presentation Assistance
: Assist in drafting, editing, and formatting proposals, presentations (using software like PowerPoint or Google Slides), and marketing materials for client meetings.
- Data Analysis & Reporting
: Compile and analyze sales data and metrics to help track the effectiveness of business development strategies and report on progress.

A proactive, motivated, and collaborative attitude, with the ability to work well within a team structure. Build rapport, show empathy, and manage relationships with a warm and professional manner. The ability to build rapport, negotiate, and work collaboratively with diverse individuals and stakeholders, including those with differing opinions.

Meticulous attention to detail is vital for maintaining accurate data in the CRM and preparing professional documents.
- Marketing and PR Expertise:
 Knowledge of digital marketing, social media strategy, public relations, and advertising principles.
- Project and Event Management:
 Strong organizational skills to plan, coordinate, and execute events and programs effectively.
- Problem-Solving:
 The capacity to address community concerns and internal challenges proactively and effectively.
- Education:
 A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field is typically required.
- Technical Proficiency:
 Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with CRM systems (like Salesforce), social media platforms, analytics tools (like Google Analytics), and content creation software (like Adobe
Creative Suite or Canva). Experience with legislative tracking software (e.g., FiscalNote), CRM systems, and digital advocacy tools is often beneficial.

: A deep understanding of government structures, the legislative process, and political dynamics at various levels.

: Strong research and analytical skills to interpret legislation, assess impacts, and use data to inform strategies.
