Compensation

  • $44.43 – $66.61/hour (based on experience)
  • $20,000 Sign-On Bonus
  • Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case

  • Shift Differentials:

  • Evenings: +$1.50/hr

  • Nights: +$2.10/hr
  • Weekends: +$1.50/hr
  • On-Call Pay: $6.00/hr
  • Call-Back Pay: 2 hours @ 1.5x base rate + 1 hour travel time

Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Certified First Assist – CVOR to join a high-volume cardiovascular operating room team in Las Vegas. This role includes advanced surgical assistance, saphenous vein harvesting, and support for complex open-heart procedures. Strong compensation, a $20K sign-on bonus, and relocation assistance make this an excellent opportunity to advance your surgical assisting career.

Responsibilities

  • Provide intraoperative assistance including exposure, hemostasis, and technical support.
  • Perform saphenous vein harvesting for cardiovascular procedures.
  • Maintain sterile technique and comply with all surgical protocols.
  • Collaborate with surgeons and OR staff to ensure safe, high-quality care.
  • Participate in on-call rotation (1 day per week & 1 weekend per month).

Qualifications

Qualifications

Required

  • Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
  • Current Surgical First Assistant certification (nationally accredited).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • BLS certification.
  • Recent CVOR experience and vein harvesting experience.
  • Experience in open-heart surgery.

Preferred

  • Acute clinical care background.
  • Cardiothoracic surgery experience.
