We currently have an immediate opportunity for a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to join the BAR DIVISION at our ONTARIO, CALIFORNIA location. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Job Summary: Devises plans and programs for routine preventative maintenance and scheduled turnaround events at a plant or production facility.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Accurately defines and estimates required work requests and maintains a consistent tracking system for work orders.
- Develops inspection and survey procedures to ensure an effective preventative maintenance system.
- Devises plans and programs for routine preventative maintenance and scheduled turnaround events at a plant or production facility.
- Works closely with technicians, engineers, operations, and managers to establish a schedule of proactive maintenance activities during appropriate downtime.
- Utilizes planning and scheduling methods to ensure the most effective and least disruptive maintenance possible.
- Typically uses a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking and planning maintenance.
- Monitors spare parts inventory to ensure availability of required parts.
- Work closely with plant management, line supervisors and operators to implement process system improvements.
- Comply and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices
- Adherence to Nellson policies and procedures for GMP's, Food Safety, Security and Safety
- Perform other duties as deemed appropriate by Maintenance Manager
Requirements and Skills:
- Knowledge of CMMS and Automated PM Scheduling.
- Proficient on Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Excel formulas and Pivot tables is a must.
- Understanding of Manufacturing/ Maintenance/ Machinery principles
- Experience and knowledge of production processes and equipment used in the food industry.
- Experience of working with operations groups on implementation of new products
- Experience and knowledge in working with cross functional teams, training in teamwork and communication.
- Must be hands on, pro-active, decisive, organized, posses a committed work ethic and demonstrate leadership in all aspects of his or her daily responsibilities.
- Must be susceptible to change and create change as necessary.
- Must be a solid communicator with superiors, peers and subordinates both verbally and written.
- Must be able to work within a team environment.
- Minimum Education Required: HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Education desired: 2year/ AA degree preferred.
- Years Of Relevant Experience: 2-4
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to withstand prolonged walking and standing.
- Climbing, stooping and pulling required.
