The Shipping and Receiving Manager is responsible for day-to-day receiving, shipping and maintenance of inventory. The role is also responsible for performing inventory cycle counts as needed and communicating these results to Customer Service Representatives and Upper Management.

· Part of the Management Team

· Manage and arrange all outbound orders

· Schedule all inbound deliveries

· Review shipping papers for accuracy

· Assist in assigning work to Warehouse Workers

· Check physical orders for accuracy

· Other duties as assigned

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

· Schedule all inbound appointments for the correct customer and location.

· Assign unloading to warehouse staff.

· Work with Warehouse staff to verify counts, batch numbers and condition of inbound material being received.

· Arrange pick-ups for all outbound orders with various common carriers.

· Work with third-party carriers to attach their specific paperwork to the bills of ladings.

· Be knowledgeable about hazmat shipping requirements and safety.

· Assist with checking of outbound orders for accuracy in count, product and batch.

· Assist common carriers by providing the placards they need for their shipment.

· During cold months, verify temperature of materials being delivered to our facility.

· Work with management team to verify compliance with the company's quality system.

· Assist as necessary to verify accuracy of outbound and inbound shipments.
