ABOUT THE ROLE

Responsible for responsible for architecting, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-level network infrastructures to ensure high performance, security, and operational continuity. The role involves analyzing technical requirements, resolving advanced networking issues, and fine-tuning systems to support evolving business needs. This includes configuring and overseeing routers, switches, firewalls, and other critical network devices. Senior Network Engineers collaborate across IT teams to deliver scalable solutions, lead strategic initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and stay abreast of emerging technologies and cybersecurity practices to safeguard organizational assets.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Strategy & Planning
•Align network capabilities with business objectives and anticipated growth.
•Predict future needs for bandwidth, connectivity, and network services.
•Conduct a comprehensive review of existing network architecture.
•Identify bottlenecks, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
•Outline a multi-year network strategy that includes phased upgrades and expansions.
•Incorporate scalability to accommodate new technologies and emerging trends.
•Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure network effectiveness.
•Implement monitoring tools to gather data on network performance and reliability.   Acquisition & Deployment
•Assess financial resources and draft budgets for network projects.
•Allocate resources effectively to prioritize critical projects and maintenance.   Operational Management
•Network Design and Implementation**:
•Design and implement network solutions to meet business requirements.
•Configure, test, and maintain LAN/WAN equipment and related services.
•Proactively monitor network performance and ensure network availability and reliability.
•Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.
•Analyze and resolve escalated hardware and software network problems.
•Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
•Participate in and lead projects from design phase to implementation and support.
•Coordinate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
•Document network configuration, processes, and service records.
•Mentor junior network staff.
•Collaborate with other IT and business teams to identify network improvement opportunities.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with 5 years of hands-on Network Engineer and Extensive experience in network design and deployment. Or 10 years of experience in lieu of.
