Job Summary

Fresh Monkee requires a dynamic and capable leader to inspire and train a team of store employees, fostering a positive atmosphere while consistently delivering exceptional customer service. The manager plays a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of the store, regularly exercising sound judgment and discretion. A significant portion of their time is dedicated to supervising and leading the team on the floor, making staffing decisions, ensuring customer satisfaction and product quality, managing payroll and inventory, and maintaining a clean, inviting store environment. The manager is expected to lead by example, consistently upholding and embodying Fresh Monkee's values and operational standards. At Fresh Monkee, we believe positive energy is contagious. Duties

  • Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage staff training and development programs to enhance team performance and service quality.
  • Oversee food preparation to maintain consistency and quality in menu offerings.
  • Handle cash management and POS systems, including Toast POS.
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct ordering, and manage stock control to minimize waste.
  • Implement budgetary controls to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective team management and leadership practices.
  • Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new staff members.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving complaints promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and dining areas.

Experience

Texas Food Manager Certification required. Additional food safety training or certifications are a plus.

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the food industry, preferably in quick service or casual dining environments.
  • Strong knowledge of food handling practices, food safety standards, and culinary techniques.
  • Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and financial management in a restaurant setting.
  • Background in hospitality management or related fields is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with various POS systems is essential; experience with Toast POS is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to train staff effectively while promoting a culture of teamwork and excellence.
