Operating Room Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION

Regions Hospital has an opportunity for an Operating Room Coordinator to join our team

This position works collaboratively with Surgical staff to coordinate care of surgical patients and communicate with patients/families. This role requires a high level of competence in utilizing complex specialized Operating Room and other computer systems, excellent telephone etiquette, and strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus. Specific areas of responsibility will be assigned most of the time; but may be assigned to cover all areas as directed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Three (3) years of computer/data entry experience. Medical or surgical background preferred.

This position is a 0.8 FTE, equating to 64 hours per pay period. The primary shifts will be in the evenings from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM, with occasional day shifts from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Responsibilities include working weekends and rotating holidays and vacations based on seniority.

Pay Range Statement

Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. Pay within our ranges may also be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities as well as internal equity. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation based on role (e.g., shift differential, bonus, sales incentive, productivity pay, etc.).
