We're seeking a Billing & Payment Posting Specialist who loves numbers, precision, and problem-solving. This role is vital to the financial health of our clinic, ensuring that every charge, payment, and claim is processed accurately and efficiently. What You'll Do

  • Follow up on outstanding insurance claims to ensure timely and correct reimbursement.
  • Enter HCFAs (CMS-1500 forms) into payer portals for out-of-network or paper claim submissions.
  • Post insurance and patient payments quickly and accurately across multiple systems.
  • Research and resolve denials or underpayments, working with payers to get claims corrected and paid.
  • Communicate with patients on account balances, payment plans, or questions with professionalism and empathy.
  • AR Clean-up on accounts with unapplied credits
  • Collaborate with coders, billers, and front desk staff to ensure accurate claim flow from start to finish.
  • Support month-end close processes and help identify trends or areas for process improvement.
  • Other Duties As Assigned

What We're Looking For

  • Prior experience in medical billing, posting, or accounts receivable follow-up (required).
  • Understanding of EOBs, HCFAs, CPT/ICD-10 codes, and payer portal workflows.
  • Strong computer skills — comfortable with EMRs, clearinghouses, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills — you're calm, thorough, and persistent.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy — you spot errors others miss.
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude — you know billing can be tough, but you bring energy and focus every day.
