About The Job
Vista Charleston is seeking to hire experienced Logistics Freight Brokers to join our brand new Charleston, SC office that focuses primarily on 3PL services with our asset based wing located in Glenn Ellyn Illinois. This is a great opportunity to get in the door on the ground floor with generous commission offerings for those who can bring on a book of business quickly or transfer a current book at hire. Our office is growing fast and soon we will be expanding our footprint into the Georgia and Florida markets. This is the best time to be getting in on the ground floor of our quickly growing firm. For those brokers who currently manage their own books and arent happy with their current compensation, we offer up to 70% commissions to Brokers who have active and transferrable accounts. What you'll do

• Leverage your sales and logistics skills to broaden your footprint and secure new business
• Actively Prospect across the US, Mexico and Canada to forge new relationships, manage a robust sales pipeline, influence decision makers, and close deals.
• Actively and professionally oversee the booking, management and success of your freight shipments from A-Z.
• Research and dive into shipping trends and market shifts to best advise client
• Serve as a trusted advisor and logistics expert, guiding clients by helping resolve issues in a timely manner, securing great rates, and seeing each load to the finish line.
• Ensure clear and timely communication both internally and externally

Requirements

• U.S citizen or authorized to work in the U.S
• Thorough understanding and hands on experience in Supply Chain Management
• Located in Charleston, SC. (Hires with a book of business may have the option to work remotely)
• Advanced interpersonal skills, organizational skills and a keen eye for detail
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Logistics
• Persuasive in negotiations, ability to effectively close deals
• Bachelors degree preferred but not required
• A proven track record in sales is a must and a previous or current book of business is preferred*
• Ability to work full-time, and weekends as needed. (We have after hours teams in place)
