Position:Clinical Laboratory AssociateLocation:Redwood City, CA – Onsite RoleLength:6+ month contractJob Description:Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Associate (CLA) to support the daily operations of their high-complexity clinical laboratory. You'll assist Clinical Laboratory Scientists (CLS) with patient sample processing and testing, help maintain lab equipment, and ensure that all lab activities meet strict quality and safety standards.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Support sample collection, receipt, labeling, processing, and storage under supervision.Assist CLSs with automated testing workflows and troubleshooting.Prepare and manage reagents and maintain equipment according to SOPs.Monitor lab temperatures, maintain supply inventory, and handle documentation.Participate in audits, inspections, and continuous process improvement.Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety protocols.Qualifications:Associate degree required; Bachelor's in Biomedical or Clinical Science preferred.Previous experience in a high-volume or clinical laboratory setting is a plus.Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and work both independently and in a team.Working knowledge of quality control practices and laboratory safety standards.Comfortable with basic computer systems and documentation software.Work Environment:Requires standing or sitting for extended periods.May involve handling biological samples and operating lab instruments.Occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required.POST-OFFER BACKGROUND CHECK IS REQUIRED.
