Warehouse/ Logistic Manager

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing transportation, warehousing, inventory, and distribution processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective logistics functions. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and a comprehensive understanding of supply chain management systems. The Logistics Manager will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining seamless coordination across all logistics activities.

Duties

• Develop and implement logistics strategies aligned with company goals, focusing on process improvement and lean methodologies.
• Oversee transportation planning, including freight management, fleet management, and dispatching to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Manage warehouse operations including inventory control, warehouse management systems (WMS), shipping & receiving, and warehouse distribution.
• Supervise warehouse staff and logistics teams, providing leadership in supervising experience, ensuring safety compliance, and fostering a productive work environment.
• Coordinate with 3PL providers, NVOCCs, procurement teams, and suppliers to optimize supply chain efficiency.
• Utilize ERP systems such as AS400 for supply chain analytics, demand planning, production planning, and procurement activities.
• Monitor profit & loss statements related to logistics operations to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve overall profitability.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean principles and process improvement techniques to enhance operational efficiency.
• Manage transportation management systems (TMS) for freight routing, scheduling, and tracking to ensure optimal transportation solutions.
• Oversee purchasing activities related to materials management and inventory replenishment to meet production requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies across all logistics functions.

Skills

• Extensive experience in operations management within supply chain or logistics environments.
• Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and ERP platforms such as AS400.
• Proven ability in demand planning, production planning, inventory management, and procurement processes.
• Expertise in freight forwarding, shipping & receiving, warehouse distribution, and materials management.
• Supervisory experience leading teams in warehouse or logistics settings with a focus on supervising experience.
• Familiarity with 3PL providers, NVOCC operations, fleet management, dispatching, and freight forwarding practices.
• Proficiency in process improvement methodologies like lean manufacturing and continuous improvement strategies.
• Skills in budgeting, supply chain analytics, procurement strategies, and inventory control.
• Ability to analyze complex data sets to inform decision-making within supply chain operations.
• Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills to coordinate cross-functional teams effectively. Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $47, $70,000.00 per year
