Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Experience: 1–3 years of experience supporting or administering Salesforce, with a foundational understanding of user management, data integrity, and the Salesforce security model. Experience creating basic reports, dashboards, and Flows. Familiarity with Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP), Program Management Module (PMM), or Nonprofit Cloud (NPC) is helpful. Exposure to quality assurance and user training is a plus.
Critical Action Items:
The Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for the daily management, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's Salesforce platform. This role ensures data accuracy, user accessibility, and system security while supporting staff across departments. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a collaborative approach, and a desire to grow their Salesforce expertise under the guidance of senior team members.
1. Administer and maintain Salesforce to ensure data accuracy, system reliability, and user accessibility.
2. Manage user setup, permissions, roles, and licenses in alignment with Salesforce's security model.
3. Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and list views to support data-driven decision-making.
4. Perform data imports, exports, and corrections to maintain integrity and consistency.
5. Conduct quality assurance and assist in user acceptance testing for system updates or enhancements.
6. Provide end-user support, documentation, and training to encourage Salesforce adoption and best practices.
7. Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to understand workflows and identify system improvements.
8. Stay current with Salesforce releases, features, and nonprofit-specific tools (NPSP, PMM, NPC).
Requirements:
1. 1–3 years of experience supporting or administering Salesforce in a professional or volunteer capacity.
2. Salesforce Administrator Certification (ADM-201) required.
3. Knowledge of Salesforce security model, profiles, roles, and permission sets.
4. Experience building reports, dashboards, and automation using Flow.
5. Strong attention to detail, organization, and commitment to data quality.
6. Effective communication skills with the ability to support users at varying technical levels.
7. Demonstrated initiative and motivation to learn and advance in Salesforce administration.
8. Familiarity with NPSP, PMM, or Nonprofit Cloud preferred.
9. Experience with quality assurance or user training processes is a plus.
