Overview:

We're seeking a strategic, contract-savvy IT Vendor Manager to lead technology vendor oversight and contract negotiations across our enterprise. This role anchors the IT category within our broader procurement function, driving performance, compliance, and value across national technology vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead IT contract negotiations, renewals, and performance reviews across national and regional technology vendors

  • Own Vendor Relationship Management (VRM) for key IT partners, including KPI tracking, quarterly business reviews, and escalation protocols

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (IT, finance, legal, project teams) to align vendor terms with enterprise goals and risk posture

  • Manage pricing, SLAs, and terms across software, hardware, cloud, and managed services agreements

  • Guide sourcing strategies for IT categories including infrastructure, SaaS, cybersecurity, and professional services

  • Support strategic alignment with Next 150 construction and operational indirect procurement teams

  • Recommend and implement procurement models tailored to IT delivery and compliance requirements

  • Serve as liaison between IT Vendor Management and IT, Legal, Finance, and Estimating teams

  • Monitor market trends in IT procurement, licensing models, and vendor consolidation

  • Prepare executive-level presentations on IT vendor performance, contract risk, and cost optimization

  • Lead and mentor a team of IT vendor management professionals focused on technology and indirect categories

  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive team culture with a focus on continuous improvement

Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT Vendor Management, or related field

  • 5–8 years of experience in IT vendor management, technology procurement, or contract negotiation

  • Proven track record negotiating complex IT contracts (e.g., SaaS, cloud, licensing, managed services)

Skills & Abilities:

  • Deep understanding of IT procurement methodologies and vendor ecosystems

  • Strong contract negotiation and vendor management skills

  • Ability to analyze and format raw data exports for vendor performance and spend analysis

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Experience managing direct reports and delegating effectively

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities independently
