Role Description

This full-time, on-site role is based in Providence, RI. The Senior Information Technology Project Manager will oversee end-to-end project management for IT initiatives, ensuring timely execution and exceeding client expectations. Responsibilities include managing program lifecycles, coordinating cross-functional teams, facilitating effective communication among stakeholders, performing project planning, and identifying and addressing risks. The role also demands the implementation of process improvements and the alignment of deliverables with client and company goals.

Qualifications

  • Coordinate multiple project managers, vendors, and State stakeholders to ensure aligned and timely delivery.
  • Manage several workstreams and maintain an integrated master project schedule.
  • Track risks, issues, and mitigation plans; maintain a detailed RAID log.
  • Oversee completeness and accuracy of all system, process, and workflow documentation.
  • Ensure vendors produce required documentation (permissions, user account procedures, reports, etc.).
  • Review vendor deliverables for quality before approval.
  • Maintain and update the RACI matrix across the State and vendor teams.
  • Prepare weekly status reports and communicate scope changes, delays, and blockers.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and provide periodic updates to State management teams.
  • Manage project budget and financial processes.
  • Schedule and lead project meetings; distribute meeting minutes.
  • Oversee system configuration based on business requirements.
  • Lead testing activities: configuration, regression, performance, and planning for UAT.
  • Ensure vendor resolution of defects during testing.
  • Coordinate with Change Management and Readiness teams for training and ERP implementation.
  • Support the delivery of a user-centered digital portal experience for diverse user groups.
