Job Description
**DEACON, MOULDS & STOFER **, a fast-paced insurance defense law firm, located in beautiful St. Petersburg, FL, is seeking a full-time litigation paralegal with experience in long-term care / nursing home insurance defense.
Responsibilities:
• Manage confidential files for litigation matters
• Subpoena, intake, review and organization of voluminous medical records (overwhelmingly electronic records)
• Manage and meet discovery deadlines
• Assist attorney in preparing for hearings, mediation, arbitrations and trials
• And more
Requirements:
• Organization skills
• Attention to details
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize workload based on deadlines
• Ability to work with attorneys, paralegals and other office staff in a professional manner
• Ability to interact with adjusters, clients, facility, employees, experts, court personnel, opposing counsel and staff in a professional manner
• Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office / Adobe Pro
• Knowledge of Aderant Total Office 9.1 (or Client Profiles 9.0) a plus
Qualifications:
• 3+ years as an insurance defense paralegal
• Florida Registered Paralegal preferred, but not necessary
• Knowledgeable of Florida Civil Court Rules
