Job Description Job Description DEACON, MOULDS & STOFER , a fast-paced insurance defense law firm, located in beautiful St. Petersburg, FL, is seeking a full-time litigation paralegal with experience in long-term care / nursing home insurance defense. Responsibilities: Manage confidential files for litigation matters Subpoena, intake, review and organization of voluminous medical records (overwhelmingly electronic records) Manage and meet discovery deadlines Assist attorney in preparing for hearings, mediation, arbitrations and trials And more Requirements: Organization skills Attention to details Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritize workload based on deadlines Ability to work with attorneys, paralegals and other office staff in a professional manner Ability to interact with adjusters, clients, facility, employees, experts, court personnel, opposing counsel and staff in a professional manner Strong computer skills - Microsoft Office / Adobe Pro Knowledge of Aderant Total Office 9.1 (or Client Profiles 9.0) a plus Qualifications: 3 years as an insurance defense paralegal Florida Registered Paralegal preferred, but not necessary Knowledgeable of Florida Civil Court Rules Benefits: Health, Dental & Vision Insurance, Life, AD&D and LTD Insurance, Safe Harbor 401k Retirement Plan, Paid Time Off , and more Schedule: Monday to Friday Work Location: In person Company Description Deacon, Moulds & Stofer attorneys have been providing a full range of civil litigation defense for more than 25 years.
