Transportation Engineer Intern

We are seeking a Transportation Engineer Intern, who will work under the supervision of engineering staff, supporting the development of roadway and drainage designs, construction plan packages, and engineering reports in the fields of highway and stormwater design. Your daily tasks will include plan and design production in Bentley OpenRoads Designer and AutoCAD, engineering calculations, field visits, attending meetings and taking minutes, and other relevant tasks that may be associated with this position.This role is ideal for an engineering student looking to gain well-rounded experience in transportation engineering while working with a passionate and talented team.RequirementsCurrently enrolled in a 4-year Civil Engineering (or related) degree at an accredited college or universityInterest in Transportation EngineeringAspiration to obtain Engineer in Training (EIT) and Professional Engineer (PE) licensesSome experience in CAD software, either AutoCAD or Bentley OpenRoads DesignerSome experience in PDF software such as Adobe or BluebeamProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and WordStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication and organizational skillsInvesting in IndividualsAt Athena Engineering, we believe in rewarding the hard work and dedication of our team and place an emphasis on our employees, their career development, and their job satisfaction.
