About the Position
Ready to Explore? Bring your creativity and commitment to learning and join our team to bridge the gap between school and landing a great job. Through this internship you will be able to apply classroom-based knowledge to projects and gain essential skills needed to be career ready. We have several exciting projects in house serving clients in the industrial, department of defense, and commercial industries. Our Intern/Co-Ops work directly with structural engineers on project teams to support our projects. This role will primarily consist of drafting structural building systems in the BIM software Revit and AutoCAD. Revit and AutoCAD allow our interns/Co-Ops to see a building designed in a three-dimensional space and allows them to see how each component of a building affects another. This role will also consist of assisting structural engineers in other project-oriented tasks.
Experience and Qualifications
- Engineering student in an ABET accredited university, on track for a bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- Completed 2+ years of course work
- Creative, Adaptive and Flexible
- Interested in Structural Building Systems
- Understand the basics of Structural Engineering
- Familiarity with designing and drafting in AutoCAD and Revit is highly considered
- Prior Internship with related experience is highly considered.
- Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivated to produce high quality work
- Ability and desire to learn and grow professionally
