Lead Salesforce Architect

Description

The Lead Salesforce Architect is a key strategic leader responsible for shaping and implementing enterprise Salesforce architectures, focusing on Health Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and associated platforms. This role is pivotal in designing scalable, secure, and innovative Salesforce solutions that work well with AWS services, EHR systems, and broader enterprise data environments.

This position allows for significant telecommuting, with travel requirements being minimal.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Solution Delivery

• Design and implement comprehensive Salesforce solutions across Health Cloud, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, and contact centers, integrating with AWS Connect and Service Cloud Voice.
• Develop and manage integration frameworks linking Salesforce with AWS services (S3, Redshift, Lambda, SQL DBs) and EHR platforms (Epic, Cerner) using FHIR and HL7 standards.
• Ensure all solutions adhere to enterprise standards for scalability, security, performance, and compliance.

Technical Expertise & Leadership

• Serve as the primary Salesforce subject matter expert, particularly in Health Cloud, Service Cloud, and contact center modernization.
• Lead development teams on best practices for development and configuration, including Apex triggers/classes, Lightning Components, Flows, Agentforce automations, and Data Cloud integrations.
• Guide developers in implementing Agentforce-powered workflows and utilizing Data Cloud for real-time data integration.
• Collaborate with AWS and DevOps teams to deliver effective event-driven and API-based integrations.
• Assess new Salesforce capabilities, such as generative and agentic AI, and propose strategies for their adoption.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

• Engage with clinical, operational, and IT leaders to design Salesforce-driven workflows aimed at enhancing patient and provider interactions.
• Work collaboratively with product owners, business analysts, and UX designers to transform business goals into actionable Salesforce solutions.
• Facilitate design workshops, technical reviews, and alignment sessions among cross-functional teams.

Governance & Compliance

• Maintain all architecture documentation, including solution diagrams and integration logs.
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations, enterprise security protocols, and healthcare data privacy standards.

Required Experience, Skills, and Education

• US Citizenship is required for this position, and the candidate must be able to obtain security clearance as necessary.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (substantial work experience may substitute for degree).
• 12+ years of relevant experience, with at least 8 years focused on Salesforce solution architecture and implementation.
• Demonstrated expertise in implementing Salesforce Health Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Service Cloud solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce development and configuration, including Apex, Lightning Components, Flows, Agentforce automations, and Data Cloud integrations.
• Experience in designing contact center solutions that incorporate AWS Connect and Service Cloud Voice, along with omni-channel routing.
• Knowledge of generative and agentic AI solutions within Salesforce and AWS-integrated settings is a plus.

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education

• Strong understanding of EHR integration patterns (FHIR, HL7, Epic, Cerner) and secure healthcare data exchange.
• Possession of multiple Salesforce certifications is preferred (e.g., Application Architect, Developer 1 & 2, System Architect, and Health Cloud Credential).
• Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools such as Flosum, Copado, or SFDX/Jenkins is advantageous.

Pay Range: $126,100.00 - $227,950.00

This pay range is a general guideline that considers various factors including job responsibilities, education, experience, and market alignment.
