Accounting Manager

A recognized marketing services agency in New York City is currently seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team as an Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Accounting team
- Manage the monthly financial close process
- Review and approve journal entries
- Assist with finance statements report preparation, with flux analysis
- Oversee balance sheet accounts reconciliation and accuracy in the general ledger and financial statements
- Maintain the general ledger system
- Provide support on annual audits
- Prepare summary financial statements variances analysis
- Maintain the Internal Controls compliance and documentation
- Manage the payroll reconciliation
- 3+ years of Accounting experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Solid working knowledge of GAAP Accounting
- Hands-on experience in Accounting in a large corporation with multiple subsidiaries
- Microsoft Excel proficient (Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups, etc.)
- Solid analytical and problem solving skills
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
- 3+ years of experience in a Management role
- CPA or parts passed
- Background in Mergers & Acquisitions
- Working knowledge of NetSuite and OpenAir
- Costing Accounting background
- Previous experience in the Advertising and/or Marketing industry
