What You'll Do

The primary role of the R&D Assembly Technician is to collaborate directly with project engineers to build pilot production quantities of new products. You'll follow written and demonstrated procedures, use a wide variety of tools and techniques, and conduct testing of products and components to ensure quality and innovation.

  • Follow our Quality System and SOPs to ensure precision and compliance
  • Assemble small, intricate parts using both verbal and written procedures
  • Operate specialized equipment (adhesive dispenser, vertical shrinker, braider, tipping machines, drilling/punching tools, measuring devices)
  • Maintain accurate records of materials, procedures, and inspection features
  • Support engineers with modifications, improvements, and documentation updates
  • Perform product and component testing according to established protocols
  • Ensure incoming materials meet specifications and advise on equipment repairs/upgrades
  • Work independently while fostering strong collaboration with teammates
  • Uphold confidentiality and adhere to all safety requirements
What You'll Bring
  • Associate degree in a science-related field or equivalent experience
  • 0-3 years of experience (medical device background preferred)
  • Technical skills in plastic part assembly, adhesive bonding, prototyping, and materials knowledge
  • Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and measurement comprehension
  • Dexterity and comfort working with small parts
  • Clear communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking)
