Position: Benefits Analyst - Leave of Absence

Location: Newport Beach, CA 92660 (Hybrid: 2 days onsite, 3 days remote)
Duration: 6+ Months Contract (Extension possible based on performance)
Shift: Monday-Friday, Normal Business Hours

About the Role

We're looking for a Benefits Analyst - Leave of Absence to join our Absence Management Team. In this role, you'll manage end-to-end administration of employee leave programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies. You'll work closely with the Sr. Benefits Analyst and collaborate with HR, Payroll, and Benefits teams to deliver a seamless employee experience.

What You'll Do
  • Administer leave programs including FMLA, ADA, state-specific leaves, Workers' Compensation, and Paid Parental Leave.
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries in the Absence Management Inbox daily.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate leave processing and benefits continuity.
  • Guide employees through the leave process, including eligibility, documentation, and return-to-work procedures.
  • Calculate Paid Parental Leave entitlements and coordinate with Payroll.
  • Maintain and audit LOA records in Workday and master spreadsheets for compliance.
  • Support Workers' Compensation claims and liaise with vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Assist with LOA/ADA/WC initiatives and other benefits projects as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in leave administration.
  • Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and Workers' Compensation regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Workday preferred).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (not mandatory).
  • Highly analytical and resourceful; HR Analyst background is a plus.
  • Experience coordinating across multiple teams and managing complex leave scenarios.
