Job Summary and Responsibilities
- Conduct all Nuclear Medicine procedures according to established protocols to ensure optimal patient care.
- Document patient information and support various procedural tasks.
- Engage with patients to explain procedures, ensuring their understanding and comfort.
- Prepare radiopharmaceuticals for imaging and therapeutic procedures, adhering to strict safety standards.
- Conduct imaging and therapeutic procedures as required.
- Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with industry regulations regarding Quality Control and radiation safety.
- Keep an organized and well-stocked work area.
- Engage in continuing education to stay current with developments in Nuclear Medicine.
- Perform additional duties as necessary.
- Adhere to all relevant departmental policies and the Code of Conduct.
Qualifications
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program.
Experience:
- Prior experience in Nuclear Medicine, potentially including formal training.
- Preferred: three years of experience in a nuclear medicine department.
Certification/Licensure:
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist.
