Job Summary and Responsibilities

  • Conduct all Nuclear Medicine procedures according to established protocols to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Document patient information and support various procedural tasks.
  • Engage with patients to explain procedures, ensuring their understanding and comfort.
  • Prepare radiopharmaceuticals for imaging and therapeutic procedures, adhering to strict safety standards.
  • Conduct imaging and therapeutic procedures as required.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with industry regulations regarding Quality Control and radiation safety.
  • Keep an organized and well-stocked work area.
  • Engage in continuing education to stay current with developments in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.
  • Adhere to all relevant departmental policies and the Code of Conduct.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in Nuclear Medicine, potentially including formal training.
  • Preferred: three years of experience in a nuclear medicine department.

Certification/Licensure:

  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist.
