Tekberry is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Associate 1 to join our client, Stanford University. This role supports faculty, researchers, and department staff in daily administrative and operational tasks. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced academic environment, demonstrate strong communication and multitasking skills, and handle confidential information with discretion.
Responsibilities
  • Provide general administrative support including calendar management, meeting scheduling, and document preparation.
  • Process routine financial transactions (P-Card/T-Card verification, reimbursements, purchase orders).
  • Assist with travel arrangements, itineraries, and expense report processing.
  • Serve as front-line contact for visitors, callers, and internal inquiries.
  • Maintain office organization - manage supplies, mail, filing systems, and equipment.
  • Draft and proofread correspondence, reports, and forms.
  • Provide logistical support for small departmental events or meetings.
Must-Have Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2-3 years of administrative or office experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace.
  • Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience supporting higher-education or research environments.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Financials, SmartSheets, or similar systems.
  • Customer service-focused, professional demeanor.
