Are you ready to power the future of energy? We're seeking a passionate and skilled Project Engineer to be part of our expanding utility consulting and renewable energy services team. In this role, you’ll take the lead on cutting-edge high-voltage electrical projects—transforming visions into reality through innovative planning and design on transmission line, substation, and renewable energy facility projects. You'll collaborate with major players in the energy industry, including Electric Utilities, EPC contractors, and Independent Power Generators, helping them drive the shift toward a cleaner energy future.

This position offers the flexibility to be based in our Maine offices in Augusta, Bangor, or Presque Isle, or remotely, depending on your qualifications. Pay: $85,000 to $125,000 depending on your skills and years of experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform engineering services related to Solar, Wind and Battery Storage projects
  • Develop drawing packages for high and medium voltage applications
  • Participate in preparing proposals for associated scope
  • Field work and investigations as needed
  • Review and understand client specific standards and requirements
  • Prepare deliverables with the objective of delivering on-time and under-budget
  • Communication with department manager and project team
Education / Experience / Training:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology required (Electrical, Civil, Structural, Mechanical)
  • 0-3+ years of experience in an engineering consulting firm or other related work environment
  • Successful passing of the FE exam is a plus
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with electric utility or renewable energy projects preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite is required, AutoCAD experience is a plus.
  • Must successfully complete drug screening and background check, including 7-year criminal history check and Motor Vehicle Record check
  • Valid driver’s license required
