Compensation

$55,000 to $75,000 depending on your skills and years of experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and apply client-specific drafting standards and file organization requirements
  • Create new drawings and revise existing ones for electrical design packages
  • Ensure all drawing packages follow appropriate standards, including title blocks, drawing sizes, revision history, stamps, and formatting
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality
  • Collaborate with engineers to incorporate design feedback and apply QA/QC procedures
  • Identify opportunities to improve drafting efficiency, including automation and best practices in CAD
  • Prepare and maintain transmittal letters or drawing registers as needed
  • Assist with printing, scanning, folding, and shipping of project documents
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
  • Proficient in CAD drafting software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong knowledge of CAD standards, drawing practices, and technical formatting
  • Experience with AutoLISP or other programming tools is a plus
  • Electrical design project experience preferred
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently
  • Effective communicator with the ability to work well on cross-functional teams
Education & Experience:
  • Associate degree in CAD, Architectural, Electromechanical, or Civil Engineering Technologies (2-year degree required)
  • 1–3 years of related CAD design experience preferred
Additional Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Physical Demands & Work Environment

This position is primarily office-based but may require occasional fieldwork in varying conditions.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods
  • Frequent use of a computer and standard office equipment
  • Regular communication with team members and clients
  • Occasional travel (up to 100%) to field sites or client meetings
  • May require navigating uneven terrain on occasion
