MILSATCOM Mission Planner

Your Impact:
Amentum is currently seeking a MIL SATCOM Mission Planner with knowledge of Military Satellite Communications, especially familiarity with EHF and AEHF SATCOM and associated Satellite Communications terminals (MILSTAR, SMART-T, VPS) to join our dynamic team in the Northern VA area. This position requires an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance that has been adjudicated in the last 5 years or designated CE and the ability to obtain and maintain special accesses.
Responsibilities:
• Model and analyze AEHF environmental factors using the Mission Planning Subsystem
• Create unit-level scenarios using the AEHF Global Scenario.
• Produce and distribute communications plans to operational users.
• Operate, test, and provide feedback on emerging and replacement radio and communication systems.
• Apply in-depth technical knowledge to capture, plan and design information technology systems; tactical and strategic RF communications, especially DoD SATCOM and Line-of-Sight (LOS) systems, at the national level.
• Advise the customer on the development of technical approaches to solving engineering related problems.
• Support the formulation and execution of acquisition strategies.
• Develop technology Integration strategies, Requirements Development, Systems Architectures, Conceptual Designs and Concept of Operations.
• Apply excellent working knowledge and consultations in data communications, fiber optics, video teleconferencing and cryptographic equipment. • Participate in activities to ensure knowledge creation/sharing and integration within and across the work program as appropriate.
