Job Summary:
Plans, coordinates, and executes key company events and initiatives. Delivers high-quality experiences for both internal and external audiences, managing core corporate events such as the Leadership Conference, Golf Tournament, and Wine Fundraiser, as well as fostering company culture through events like the Kids Christmas Party, Kids Easter Party, and Partner Recognition Events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads the planning and execution of core company events, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations.
- Manages logistics for events, including registration, travel arrangements, audiovisual requirements, catering, and on-site coordination.
- Designs creative programming and interactive elements to enhance attendee engagement and deliver memorable experiences.
- Coordinates and executes internal events such as the Kids Christmas Party, Kids Easter Party, and Partner Recognition Events to promote employee engagement and foster a positive work culture.
- Coordinates and executes external events such as the Grand Openings, Groundbreakings and Community Appreciation Events to promote our Company in the communities we serve.
- Collaborates with internal teams to ensure events reflect company values and culture.
- Partners with the community involvement and communications team to ensure event messaging aligns with broader organizational strategies.
- Engages leadership and key stakeholders to define event objectives and success metrics.
- Conducts research to identify new event opportunities, trends, and best practices to keep offerings fresh and relevant.
- Evaluates feedback and data from past events to implement continuous improvements.
- Develops and maintains detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for all events, ensuring adherence to schedules and financial parameters.
- Anticipates potential risks and challenges, implementing proactive solutions to mitigate them.
- Acts as the primary point of contact for event-related inquiries, ensuring clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders.
- Works closely with vendors, venues, and service providers to deliver high-quality experiences.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, etc.)
- Basic knowledge in photographic and video lighting, composition, and editing.
- Ability to operate a sound board, speakers, video, and digital single-lens reflex camera.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret information.
- Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to learn new technology systems, methods, or processes.
- Ability to reason, form concepts, recognize, and solve problems.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written or verbal form.
- Ability to show information in presentation or diagram form.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage time.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
- Ability to occasionally travel to off-site and out of town locations with possible overnight stays.
- Ability to occasionally work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Required to drive in accordance with the BGC Driver policy.
- Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible.
- Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor.
- Bachelor's Degree and three or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.
- Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.
- Continuously required to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception or the ability to focus.
- Frequently required to talk and hear.
- Frequently required to use hands for reaching, touching or handling.
- Frequently required to use fine finger movements (ex. sorting and typing).
- Frequently required to sit for long periods of time.
- Frequently required to push, pull, maneuver or lift objects up to 40 lbs.
- Frequently required to stand or walk.
- Occasionally required to push, pull, maneuver or lift objects up to 75 lbs.
- Occasionally required to bend, kneel or squat.
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop or crawl.
- Occasionally required to drive.
- Attendance at work is required.
- Work is generally performed in an office environment.
- Occasionally exposed to wet, slippery or damp conditions.
- Occasionally exposed to outside temperatures and weather.
- Quiet to moderate noise level.
