Junior Account Manager

Support Senior Account Managers by managing key customer accounts from product or program point of purchase through product delivery completion and support. While Senior Account Manager is focused on business development, prospecting, and opportunity identification and capture, the Sales Support Manager takes over primary day-to-day responsibility from the responsible Senior Account Manager for working with customer and delivering required products and services after business is captured. Sales Support Manager will work across department boundaries to satisfy the needs of customers with on time delivery and continuous improvement in quality, products, and services.

  • Entering contact information into CRM system, providing technical & pricing information including quotations, literature, 3rd party vendor sources, scheduling follow-up contact dates, and soliciting evaluation orders.
  • Maintain daily activity for accounts with assigned responsibility. Customer inquiries/problems, order entry, shipment scheduling, pricing, and technical information.
  • Ability to stand-in for Senior Account Manager and Program Manager on customer calls/interactions that the Sales Support Manager is supporting.
  • Lead regular scheduled customer cadence calls to ensure proper action items are captured and executed on time.
  • Ability to reach across department boundaries to ensure that required engineering, operations, sales & marketing tasks are getting executed to meet particular customer needs.
  • Developing a good understanding of client companies, their industry, what they do, their work culture and environment.
  • Preparing reports on account status to present to senior managers.
  • Assisting in the creation of sales presentations and proposals.
  • Handling client issues and concerns in a professional manner, escalating more complex issues to appropriate senior staff.
  • Collaborating with peer team members to maximize profit by up-selling or cross-selling
  • Maintain a target & evaluation customer list with scheduled or needed activity.
  • Provide projections for monthly sales forecast and inventory control forecast.

Requirements
  • AS or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronics Sales or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Application experience in the following: Windows Operating Systems, Word, Excel, Contact Management Software, ERP/Global Shop, E-mail, Internet.
