Join our dynamic team as a Clinical Nurse II in the Adult Emergency Department, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care during critical moments. In this position, you will assess, coordinate, and implement care plans tailored to individual patient needs to facilitate optimal health outcomes and smooth transitions toward discharge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and implement physician orders while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions and communicate findings effectively.
- Monitor and assess patient responses to treatment, adjusting care as needed.
- Utilize strong nursing judgment in managing complex patient care scenarios.
- Provide immediate care for various injuries and illnesses in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create comprehensive Plans of Care for patients.
- Supervise support staff while upholding the highest nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of a professional nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree).
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
- Certification in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC.
- 1-3 years of clinical experience in an Emergency Department, ideally in a large academic Level 1 Trauma Center or Comprehensive Stroke Center.
- Willingness to pursue continuing education to enhance professional growth.
- Solid understanding of quality improvement concepts and application to patient care.

The Emergency Department is a Level I Trauma Center that provides 24/7 care for patients of all ages in need of acute medical attention. With 45 patient rooms divided into diverse care zones, our ED offers a collaborative environment for dynamic nursing practice.
