Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in delivering professional nursing care to residents in long-term care settings, working under the guidance of registered nurses, advanced practice providers, or physicians. You'll utilize your nursing knowledge to cater to the physical and psychosocial needs of residents of all ages, following personalized care plans.
In this role, you will:
- Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of residents.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Document resident interactions and care outcomes accurately.
- Communicate effectively with residents, healthcare providers, and families.
- Provide support and counseling to residents and families about prevention and treatment options.
- Work as an essential part of an interdisciplinary care team.
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate excellent clinical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to quality care.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse; an Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
- Hold a valid and unencumbered LPN license with the State Nursing Board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
- Have completed supervised clinical experience or a minimum of 400 hours as an LPN.
- Meet department-specific competencies and certifications.
- Participate in continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements.
