Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing care to residents of all ages in long term care settings. Under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive nursing care in accordance with established care plans.
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitoring and documenting residents' health status effectively.
  • Building strong relationships with residents, their families, and healthcare teams.
  • Responding to emergencies with quick and effective action.
  • Assisting in the development of resident education and self-care programs.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse. An associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
  • Holding a current and unencumbered LPN license with state nursing boards.
  • Completion of studies that included supervised clinical experience or a minimum of 400 hours of direct LPN experience.
  • Maintaining required competencies and certifications through ongoing education.
